The Centurion Action X is a British tier 10 medium tank.

The Action X turret was planned to be used for later variants of the Centurion tank. One prototype of the turret was mounted on the chassis of the Centurion Mark 7, and another was used for ballistic trials. The vehicles with the Action X turret never entered mass production or saw service.

Replaced the FV4202 in patch 9.12. Hard-hitting medium tank with great aiming time and decent mobility, While Action X turret provides decent protection. But, With its large size, It was vulnerable especially against SPG if you're not moving around.

The Centurion Action X marks the end of its British medium line.

The Type 4 Heavy is a Japanese tier 9 heavy tank.

The Type 4, also known as the Type 2604, is a variant of the superheavy O-I tank that was developed during World War II. The vehicle was designed for breakthrough attacks on enemy fortifications as well as for coastal defense.

Type 4 Heavy has bit different design compared to earlier Japanese heavies. It has much thicker overall armor, and it has completely different guns; it no longer carries similar 10cm guns or 15cm Type 96 howitzer like them, but has whole new bunch of huge naval guns. Compared to O-Ho, it no longer carries miniturrets that limits frontal depression, but it regains the hull cheeks as weakspots again, like they were on O-Ni. Type 4 also carries noticeably much thicker tracks and side armor, although Type 4 cant still really abuse it reliably due to hull cheeks being weakspots. Type 4 is also bit slower than its little brothers.

Nevertheless, Type 4 can be monster tank that prepares the player for pinnacle of the branch, the Type 5 Heavy.

The Type 4 Heavy leads to the Type 5 Heavy.

The M103 is an American tier 9 heavy tank.

The development started in 1948. In 1952 the order was placed for production of 300 vehicles to fight in the Korean War. The tank was designated as M103.

M103 replaced the T34 as the tier 9 heavy in patch 0.7.2. The fully upgraded 120mm cannon is a fantastic gun, with great accuracy, and very high penetration. While it lacks alpha damage compared to the T-10 or E-75, the gun's reload speed makes up for its lack of damage. The M103's oddly shaped hull and well-sloped turret can make this tank a bit tricky to fight, especially at long ranges; however, this tank suffers from having very weak sides and rear armor. When fighting this tank from the front, make sure you try and hit the lower armor plating as hitting the upper hull will most likely bounce. If you can only see the turret aim for the large cupola on the top of the tank for easy penetrations. The speed and maneuverability of this tank are quite good, so it's able to keep up with the rest of the team and provide excellent fire support when needed, and is able to turn its frontal hull towards the enemy quickly to reduce damage taken from incoming fire.

The M103 leads to the T110E5.

The Object 704 is a Soviet tier 9 tank destroyer.

Developed in 1945 on the basis of the IS-2 and IS-3 vehicles, under the supervision of Joseph Kotin. One of the distinctive features was the slope angle of armor plates. Passed trials successfully, but never entered service.

A direct upgrade from its Tier VIII parent the ISU-152, the Object 704 feels like an improvement in all aspects over its predecessor, save perhaps for top speed, enabling the player to do much more then what the 152 would normally allow. The first noticeable difference is the fact that the 704 has a reduced vertical profile which makes for improved camouflage. Therefore, your crew's top priority should be a maximized camouflage skill. This tank is incredibly difficult to spot when masked by terrain, and a crew proficient in camouflage will make it almost invisible, staying undetected and un-spotted while unleashing a devastating salvo on clueless opponents who will have no idea where the shots are coming from. The devastating salvo is, of course, courtesy of your improved BL-10 main gun which sees a nice boost of stats when compared to its performance on the ISU-152. It becomes more accurate, aims quicker and fires faster.

The armor of the Obj. 704 is another breath of fresh air for weary ISU drivers. While it is thicker, boasting a 120mm frontal plate as opposed to the ISU's 90mm, its true advantage is in the sharp, acute angles which comprise its layout. Because of these extremely angled surfaces, the Object 704 is littered with hard-points and voids of spaced armor which will infuriate enemy players as their perfectly placed shots do no damage even when scoring direct hits. Despite this, it is inadvisable to allow your tank to be the main target of enemy guns. You are, after all, an ambushing tank destroyer not a front line vanguard. Position yourself in a spot which allows for maximum use of the 704's camouflage rating and in turn has good line of sight to possible enemy pathways. As your teammates light up the tanks of the enemy, let loose with the BL-10 and watch from cover as the enemy team buckles under the pressure of your high alpha damage. Combined with its improved maneuverability, a well-driven Obj. 704 will spell an ill-fated assault for the enemy team and will enable its player to wreak havoc and reap the rewards.

The Object 704 leads to the Object 268.

The T25 Pilot Number 1 is an American tier 8 premium medium tank.

Developed by the United States Army Ordnance Corps on the basis of the mass-produced T23 tank with a 90-mm gun and reinforced armor. After the creation of two prototypes, 40 other vehicles were manufactured.

The T25 Pilot is, in its own right, a combination of both the M26 Pershing and the T20; players familiar with the playstyles of both of these tanks will feel right at home with the T25 Pilot. The T25 Pilot, compared to other tier 8 premium mediums, is a very well rounded tank, it is a Jack-of-all-Trades much like the Pershing and combines a good mix of average (Or slightly above average in some aspects) mobility, armor, and firepower. Whereas, for example, the CDC trades armor for exceptional mobility or the T-54 Mod. 1 trades mobility for armor. The T25 will not last long on its own due to its poor (Though not horrible) armor, and works best in a medium tank wolf pack or as a mid-range sniper, preferably shooting over a ridge only exposing its reasonably well armored turret. As for its credit making potential, its fast-firing 90mm as well as its bouncy turret should earn the player a respectable sum. One last thing to note is that the T25 travels 7 km/h faster than the Pershing (55 km/h,) and this speed advantage makes the T25 much more flexible at repositioning and escaping from sticky situations.

The Leopard Prototyp A is a German tier 9 medium tank.

Prototype developed from 1960 through 1961 as a medium tank for the Bundeswehr, with a total of 26 prototypes manufactured. The prototypes were tested up to 1963. The vehicle was the predecessor of the Leopard medium tank.

The Leopard Prototype is the pre-entry of the gameplay of the Leopard 1, featuring a much more mobile tank than its predecessor, the Indien-Panzer, with excellent accuracy, lower aiming time, a devastating gun, and very good mobility and acceleration.

The downside is the low rate of fire and extremely poor armor on all its angles; artillery will be the bane of this tank as HE shells can penetrate the frontal armor with devastating effects, so remaining mobile or hidden taking out enemies from a distance are viable options. At tier, only the French Bat.-Châtillon 25 t AP has lower armor.

The Leopard Prototyp A leads to the Leopard 1.

The Conqueror is a British tier 9 heavy tank.

Developed from 1949 through 1952, this tank was intended to confront new Soviet heavy tanks. A total of 185 vehicles were mass-produced from 1955 through 1959.

A potent continuation of the support tank class of heavy British tanks, the Conqueror plays like an overcharged version of the Caernarvon, featuring a significant jump in firing speed and some small improvements to general characteristics. It is unfortunately burdened by having the Caernavon's exact same hull, which is no longer even vaguely good for a tier 9 heavy. Like Centurions, it is also highly prone to ammo rack damage. However that would appear to simply be the price one has to pay for playing one of the best and most surely damaging support tanks in the game.

The most surprising aspect of this tank is the introduction to HESH shells on its top gun, a nasty surprise for poorly armored tanks such as Lights, a few TDs, and some Medium tanks. Note that HESH, like all HE shells, does not have any normalization, which makes it difficult to penetrate sloped surfaces. In addition, tracks and other spaced armor easily block the HESH shells.

The Conqueror leads to the FV215b.

The Maus is a German tier 10 heavy tank.

Developed from June 1942 through July 1944, with two prototypes produced, only one of which received a turret and armament.

The heaviest (although no longer biggest) tank in World of Tanks, the Maus is certainly a mammoth tank, with the largest health pool of any other vehicle currently in the game. Combining that immense hitpoint count with some of the thickest tank armor around means that if an enemy vehicles gun lacks any significant penetration capability, fighting the Maus will not go well. However, the lack of sloping anywhere on the tank, except for the frontal armor, can allow tank guns with adequate penetration to punch through the sides and rear with relative ease; even more so if the Maus is not angled properly. Additionally, weaknesses in the frontal armor such as the lower glacis plate and the "mud flaps" which cover the front of the tracks are fairly large and can be reliably targeted. Another weakness when engaging this tank from the front is to shoot at its turret "cheeks" because despite their sloped appearance and high armor values, the turret cheeks are mostly flat mid center and will rarely withstand a shell with sufficient penetration. This can be quite difficult to achieve, however, if the driver turns the turret away to angle the armor. In fact, most of the aforementioned weaknesses can be negated by simply positioning the tank in a way that makes incoming shells impact at an angle.

The 12.8cm main gun is similar to the 130mm cannon of the IS-7, dealing the same amount of damage but sacrificing penetration for improved accuracy. The low damage output of the 12.8 cm gun means that the Maus is best served as a team's front line vanguard, forcing a breakthrough and drawing the bulk of enemy fire while it's teammates follow through and return fire back at the attackers. The maneuverability of the Maus is what one would expect from a super heavy tank - slow and cumbersome. This makes the Maus a favored target of artillery although even tier X SPGs will become frustrated when faced with dealing relatively minimal damage to the Maus as opposed to other, less armored tanks. Especially so if the Maus is fitted with reinforced spall liner. Overall the Maus is definitely a front line combatant and should be used as such. Advancing on enemy positions while protecting it's teammates with it's impressive armor will ensure a confident assault and will significantly increase your odds of success.

In patch 9.17.1 Maus was significantly buffed. Its turret front got more armor, it got more health and majority of its gun stats (DPM, dispersion values, accuracy and aim time) were majorly improved.

The Maus marks the end of its German heavy line.

The IS-7 is a Soviet tier 10 heavy tank.

Development of the IS-7 started in the spring of 1945. Prototypes successfully underwent trials in 1946 and 1947. However, the IS-7 never saw mass production.

With it's well angled "pike-nose" frontal armor layout and a rounded, highly sloped turret front, the IS-7 is one of the toughest nuts to crack when engaged from the front. If positioned behind a piece of cover which shields it's lower glacis plate, it becomes a hardened object with so few weak points that successfully damaging the tank turns into a most frustrating experience. Therein lies a weakness, however - the IS-7 cannot angle it's armor, because if it does, the sloping of the frontal plate will become significantly worsened and enable most guns to punch through with relative ease. The side armor of the tank is comprised of spaced plates which are not only small but angled as well, making even perfectly landed shots to the hull's midsection fail to do any sort of damage at times. The rear armor is quite thin, however, and will rarely deflect even lower tier guns. The IS-7 mounts a very potent 130mm S-70 naval cannon as it's main gun. While it's potentially high penetration values and damage output can seem quite formidable, the gun itself is largely inaccurate, has a very long aiming time, takes awhile to load and is actually much less effective than it seems. Nevertheless, at close and medium ranges the gun can still inflict very serious damage. Sustainability of said damage is difficult, though, due to the aforementioned long reload and aim times.

When compared to it's Soviet counterpart, the IS-4, the IS-7 instantly feels more responsive and agile. It has a higher top speed and can change direction with much greater ease. The IS-7 also isn't quite as well rounded as the IS-4, relying mostly on it's incredible frontal armor to deflect and absorb incoming damage as opposed to the IS-4's effective all-around hull armor. Due to the side armor's spaced layout, however, side scraping is a very viable tactic and should be utilized when possible. The 130mm gun is not as accurate, though more damaging, as the 122mm gun of the IS-4 and will not handle as well either. Overall, the IS-7 is definitely an up-close-and-personal fighter and should be used as such. Your teammates will rely on you to take and deflect the majority of incoming fire while they in turn support your advance and use their (hopefully) more accurate guns to assist in whittling down the enemy team. Expect to do some heavy lifting when driving the IS-7 and use it's key advantages to fight on your own terms and dictate the flow of the battle, improving your performance and probability of success.

The IS-7 marks the end of its Soviet heavy line.
