1. Android Q may support 3D touch-like functionality called ‘deep-press’ - Google has already released two beta versions of Android Q, which is available for a select number of users as part of the beta program. Now, a fresh report suggests that the next big Android operating system will come with native support for 3D Touch-like feature. This will be similar to 3D touch capabilities found on iPhones.
It seems that Google is planning to move on from the long press gestures, which the company added to the app launcher in Android Oreo. 9to5Google reported that the upcoming Android Q feature is called as “deep press,” as per the documentation related to the “MotionEvent” function. The documentation explained that “the current event stream represents the user intentionally pressing harder on the screen,” and that feature should “be used to accelerate the long press behavior.”


2. Oppo Reno with 10x zoom launch dates revealed - The upcoming Oppo Reno smartphone has been in the rumor mills for quite sometime now. Courtesy of all the leaks, we also have a fair bit of an idea on what to expect ahead of the device’s official launch. While it’s been known that the device will be unveiled in China on April 10, now its global launch date too has been revealed.
Oppo’s flagship device will first be unveiled in China later this week on April 10. Post that, the company will also be unveiling the device for the global market on April 24. Oppo is set to host a launch event in Zurich, Switzerland, which will kick off at 2:00PM local time (5:30PM IST), Pocket-Lint reports.


3. Samsung Galaxy A20 on sale starting today - Samsung Galaxy A20, the latest smartphone from the South Korean smartphone maker and electronics giant is now available on sale for purchase. The company announced the device last week out of the blue after weeks of leaks and speculation. As previously reported, this is the tenth smartphone that Samsung has launched in just a period of little over three months in the Indian market. The device comes weeks after the company launched the Galaxy A10, Galaxy A30, and Galaxy A50. However, this is not all as rumors indicate that the company is also working on the long-rumored Galaxy A90 and even A70 for launch.


4. Xiaomi to launch 50-inch Mi TV 4A in India soon - Xiaomi has been on a spree to expand its TV offering in the country for the past year. The company launched its televisions in India in March last year and has also emerged as one of the leading player in the Indian smart TV market. Now, the company is planning to further step up its product portfolio in India by launching a new 50-inch model in the Mi TV 4A series. The model will join the portfolio which now includes the 43-inch Mi TV 4A Pro and the 55-inch Mi TV 4X Pro models launched in January of this year.


5. Vivo Y5 to reportedly launch in India this month with triple cameras, 5,000mAh battery - Vivo is reportedly gearing up to launch two budget devices in India later this month that will be a part of its Y-series. Among them is the Vivo Y5, which would be a sub-Rs 15,000 device set to take on devices from companies like Xiaomi, Realme, and Samsung. Now, the folks at 91Mobiles have now revealed a few key details of the Vivo Y5 ahead of the launch later this month.
As per the report, the highlight of the Vivo Y5 will be the triple-camera setup at the back. While the exact details are scarce, the Y5 is expected to be among the most affordable devices in India to boast a triple-camera setup. Currently, the crown for the cheapest triple-camera smartphone is being held by the Tecno Camon i4, which was launched for Rs 9,599. Its setup consists of a 13-megapixel f/1.8 primary camera, 2-megapixel secondary depth-sensing camera, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide (120 degrees) sensor.
