The all new PS22 Chorus of 2009 perform "My Favorite Things" from the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, THE SOUND OF MUSIC. Julie Andrews and Marnie Nixon sang the original versions in the movie and the Broadway productions respectively. Allie does an insanely beautiful job on this most difficult solo. You'll see why she was a finalist in last season's PS22 American Idol junior competition. She blew everybody away with her version of "Gotta Go My Own Way" from High School Musical 2. We'll be using this selection for our upcoming holiday show.
Tori Amos inspired this beautiful cover when she performed this on The Beekeeper solo piano tour of 2005, and again on the American Doll Posse Tour of 2007.
