I've been looking for a good bluegill reel for a long time. Spinning reel and baitcasters have their drawbacks. I wanted something that could combine the best features of both into the best panfish reel I could find.
The best panfishing reels have to be bottom hanging. They need to hang from the bottom of the reel like a spinning reel or a fly reel. Bluegilll reels also need a good drag, a multiplier like a baitcaster, and a complete free spool to get line out quickly.
I also want to get into spider rigging and long lining. A good spider rig reel needs to be small enough not to get caught into the rod holders. Spider rig reels also need to be low-cost enough so that you can buy them in numbers.
I'm still trying to figure something out with the supplier, guys. Please be patient as it takes time to get things in from China.
